Sinopsis

Argan reigns over a tribunal of ignorant doctors who exploit his weaknesses. A bourgeois father, hypochondriac and obsessed with his neuroses, wishes to marry his daughter Angelica to the nephew of Mr. Purgon, his faithful family doctor, disregarding his daughter's true love. Angelica has fallen hopelessly in love with the young man of modest means named Cleonte. This displeases Argan, who intends for his daughter to marry a doctor. From this arises a series of entanglements, in which the odious stepmother Belinda stirs up the conflict. It will take the cunning of the servant Toñita to unmask everyone.
