Synopsis
La historia es la de un joven parisino cuyos padres le encuentran a una joven de provincia, hija de conde. A su llegada, el apuesto muchacho choca con los códigos sociales. Él se negará a abrir su corazón a la joven escogida.
Presentation of the play
The notion of a dandy might seem strange to us. However, we too know elegant young men with pretentious manners, for whom fashion is the only guide. Today, if we were to caricature such a character, we would call him a fashion addict. In this comedy by Marivaux, the language is always sharp, witty, and full of humor. With this staging, Clément Hervieu-Léger brings us an 18th-century plot with attitudes that are not far removed from our own time.
